Acne is a major issue particularly for females as they appear without any prior warning and leave a lot of permanent scars. However, there is no conclusive evidence behind the common myth that acne is caused by consumption of oily food.
Irrespective of the range of herbal skin-care products that claim to heal acne and that are offered to consumers at different stores, it is advisable to get medical opinion if the condition worsens or if it keeps on recurring. Avoiding pressing the lesion or poking it with any sharp object is a must to avoid aggravation of acne.
