Each year, many people are forced to miss out on activities they enjoy because of sciatica-related pain. The sciatic nerve runs from the lower back all the way down the legs, and the pain associated with sciatica can be severe. Sciatica can be caused by many issues including herniated discs, bone spurs, poor posture, obesity, weak muscles, and major trauma. The symptoms of sciatica include weakness, pain, and numbness anywhere along the sciatic nerve. These symptoms can be incapacitating and most people will do anything they can to relieve their symptoms.

There are many potential causes of upper back pain. The upper bank consists of many different structures and conditions vary which can affect it. The upper back is the skeletal structure commonly known as the thoracic cage. This structure consists of the 12 vertebrae and their corresponding ribs that connect to the breastbone. The thoracic cage provides protection for the major organs of the body. Generally, this is a fairly stable area but certain conditions can cause discomfort.

The spinal column is designed to provide support to the body and must also maintain its flexibility. The upper back actually experiences very little movement. The neck and the lower back tend to move more than the upper back.

UTI occurs when bacteria gets into the urine and begins to grow. The infection usually starts at the opening of the urethra where the urine leaves the body and moves upward into the urinary tract. The bacteria is commonly known as E. Coli and is known to be the culprit in 90% of uncomplicated infections. The bacteria normally lives in the bowel and around the anus but can move from the area of the anus to the urethra.

A persistent hacking cough lets a person know that he or she might have bronchitis. The bronchitis cause might be a virus, a bacterium, exposure to cigarette smoke, prolonged exposure to cleaning products, or by stomach acid irritating the bronchial tubes. Acute bronchitis usually lasts for a week or two. If the bronchial tubes become permanently inflamed, a patient may develop chronic bronchitis.

One of the annoying problems that comes with bronchitis is a lack of sleep, caused by the incessant coughing. A very good and easy bronchitis cure for this is to use a cool mist vaporizer. Put one in your bedroom at night and it will help keep you from coughing, helping you to sleep restfully.

How do you know if you have viral bronchitis? Only a doctor can diagnose it for sure, but you will have certain symptoms and signs of it. You may have a cough, runny nose, thickened mucous, fever and sore throat. Your cough will be down in your chest and sound really bad, and you will probably be very fatigued. You may be more susceptible to this if you have recently had the flu.

Hemorrhoids pain is from a swelling or inflammation of the blood vessels in and around the anus. The pain from hemorrhoids can be mild and intermittent, or almost excruciating and constant, or anywhere in between. There are a number of ways to alleviate the pain, some taking care of the pain only, and others that try to fix the problem.

An internal hemorrhoid is a condition comprised of veins that become swollen and inflamed inside the anus. They are mainly caused by a poor diet and decreased fiber intake. Straining also causes them as well as obesity and pregnancy. Usually diarrhea and constipation are associated with them as well.

Another common and simple hemorrhoid home remedy is the application of ice and heat to shrink the hemorrhoid and encourage it to heal. Apply ice, such as a single ice cube, to the hemorrhoid or the anal area, for at 10 minutes every day. Then apply a moist, warm towel to the anal area for up to 20 minutes. This is best done after an aggravating bowel movement that has caused pain or irritation to the hemorrhoid.

One of this country’s leading medical problems is back pain. It is cited as one of the five most common injuries occurring in the workplace. Some of these, of course come from accidents. However, many are simply preventable. In fact, the vast majority tend to come from stress and strain on your back. It only takes a second to lift something that pulls a muscle in your back. We take a look at some of the more common causes of low back pain.

Lower back sciatica is quite painful and originates from your sciatic nerve, the longest nerve in the body. The pain extends from your spine to your hip and posterior area and then down the rear of each leg. While not a separate condition itself, sciatica is symptomatic of yet another problem, such as a herniated disc or another cause. Although lower back sciatica may ease with time, it may not, and the discomfort is usually quite debilitating.
